How to spot shitty fanfic part 1

This is statistical one - so once in a while there are pearls and rubies in a heap of trash - just a most of are not.

1. "Real family" fics - the real parents of N is M. If it's a case of "adoption" 9/10 it's a bad fic, if parents of N are unknown 50/50.
2. Fic is Evangelion crossover.
3. Character bashing.
4. Remakes - "N and M in high school", "N and M as office ladies" and so on - wasn't successful at finding anything good in this pile of shit at all...
5. "Mirrorverse" fics, especially if author states that it's NOT mirrorverse. "Evil lord Dumbledore", "Setsuna will kill anybody for Crystal Tokio" and "Evil, evil Konoha wilagers" are good examples. Sometimes there are good ones like Warringers "Going home" and "Back home" but they are rare.
6. Genderchange fics. I'm not talking about jusenkio. Fannon inspired ones like "Fem Haku" are somewhat better in general but still...
7. Harem fics where harem number is >3. Cannonical ones like Tenchi do not count... or may be they do, because harem is rarely well writen in them and most likely reduced to one girl shipping or Ayeka-Ryoko war which is easily makes shitty fanfic by itself.
8. Yaoi and Yuri fics. There are decent ones... but rare.
9. Het fics where it's not on backstage. They else became porn ones, or are bad written and too OOC.
10. Self inserts. But there are decent ones... rarely.
